A blend of Beaver felt and Wild European Hare, or pure beaver that will wear well for years. Unlike store bought hats with no beaver content, these hats will hold their shape for years, and are very easy to maintain. Beaver Fur has the ability to shed water and is barbed, having the ability to interlock when ironed and steamed. So durable they can be washed, turned inside out, and rebuilt for a new life years later! The Montana Slope or Gus hat developed after years of riding in the harsh western wind, needing a more aerodynamic hat, "so they say". I just think this is the best looking western style going, so great on men or woman! I have lowered the crown, it specs out at 5 3/4 in the back and 3 1/4 in the front.
